Who runs this
NCT Appointment Alerts is an independent, unofficial project — it is not run by, or affiliated with, the NCTS or Applus. It's a single-person side project. Questions or requests about your data can be raised by emailing nctsalerts@gmail.com or via the project's GitHub repository.
What we collect
When you sign up: your email address (required), the test centres and time window you choose, and a WhatsApp number (optional, only collected ahead of a future paid feature — it is not used for anything today). That's the complete list. We don't collect your name, vehicle registration, payment details, or location.
Why we collect it
Solely to run the alert service: to send you a one-time confirmation email, to match your chosen centres/window against live availability, and to email (or in future, WhatsApp) you when a match is found. Nothing here is used for advertising targeting, profiling, or sold or shared with anyone for marketing purposes.
Who else sees it
Your data passes through a small number of service providers that make the site work, each acting strictly as a processor on our behalf: Supabase (hosts the database), Google (Gmail is used to deliver alert and confirmation emails), Twilio (will deliver WhatsApp messages, only for subscribers who opt into the future paid plan), and GitHub Pages (hosts this website). None of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
Cookies and ads
This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and get a general sense of how the site is used. It sets no cookies and doesn't track you individually or across other sites — Cloudflare's own privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/web-analytics. Beyond that, this site runs no other analytics or advertising. If Google AdSense is enabled here in future, Google may set cookies to serve and measure ads — if that happens, this page will be updated, and you can read Google's own policy at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
How long we keep it
If you sign up but never confirm your email, that unconfirmed entry is simply overwritten if you sign up again, and isn't actively used for anything in the meantime. Once you unsubscribe (a link is included in every alert email), your record is deleted outright — not just marked inactive.
Your choices
You can update your centres, time window, or WhatsApp number at any time using the "manage your alerts" link in your emails, or remove yourself completely using the unsubscribe link — no account, login, or email back-and-forth required either way.
